Pekka Salminen on kansainvälisesti tunnetuin suomalainen työskentelevä arkkitehti. Salmisen toimisto Pes-arkkitehdit on jo vuosia tehnyt töitä Kiinan valtavilla markkinoilla. Toimiston ensimmäinen merkittävä kilpailuvoitto oli oopperatalon suunnittelu Wuxin kaupunkiin.
