Why do too many companies never achieve their objectives? Why do so many companies make losses every year? Why is it that the capacity of companies is not really being used to its full potential? Why are companies' resources and investments not really being used to their full potential? Why do company staff not really know how their efforts affect the company's performance? Why do company staff not know how and in what way they can change their actions to influence the company's performance?

I have written the solutions to these problems in four books in my book series, entitled: “KOKO YRITYKSEN KAPASITEETTI TEHOKÄYTTÖÖN” (= MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR COMPANY'S CAPACITY), “YRITYKSEN VOIMAVARAT HYÖTYKÄYTTÖÖN - YHTEISVOIMIN” (= MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR COMPANY'S RESOURCES - WORKING TOGETHER), “RESURSSIEN TULOKSILLA YRITYKSEN TAVOITETULOKSEEN” (= USING RESOURCES TO ACHIEVE THE COMPANY'S TARGET RESULTS) and “FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPANY WITH CHANGE DRIVERS”. These books provide the solutions to what entrepreneurs need to do to help their businesses achieve their goals on a consistent basis.

I am Jarmo Manninen, engineer, MHT, BPS, MBA. I have a very broad and diverse education and practical experience in the
business development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as a manager, consultant and trainer in Finland and abroad.
I started my career in corporate management at the Uusikaupunki car factory, working for the predecessor of the current Valmet Automotive Oy, Oy Saab-Valmet Ab, first as Maintenance Manager
and then as Automation Manager. Since then, I have been Managing Director of 30 manufacturing and service companies
in Finland, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia and Ukraine, responsible for planning and implementing the changes needed to achieve the objectives of these companies.
I have been the director of two national projects in Finland. The first was a business restructuring project. My responsibility was to develop a solution for how M&A could help companies
to achieve their defined objectives, which in 70% of M&A cases had never been achieved before. Then I was responsible for
training consultants to implement the solution in different parts of Finland. My second national project was a project to improve the profitability of companies. My responsibility was to develop a solution whereby business advisers and consultants could help companies change their operations so that they achieve their
targets on an ongoing basis, especially in terms of profitability. I was then responsible for training business advisers and consultants in different areas who would put the solution into
practice in companies.
As a consultant, I have helped over 300 companies in the retail, manufacturing and service industries to improve their business
to achieve their goals. As a consultant I have worked in companies and have also run business clinics in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Tampere. These business clinics became very popular due to the results they achieved, where my promise was to find a solution for entrepreneurs to any problem in achieving their goals in a one and a half hour meeting.
I have developed a change management method for companies called the CHANGE DRIVER. This method enables companies to
leverage the full capacity of the company, to harness the company’s resources through a collective effort and to use the resources to achieve the company’s target results. I have written four books on
the CHANGE DRIVER and its application in practice, of which this book is the fourth in this series. I currently work part time. For more information about my background, please see my LinkedIn profile:
