Renewed string parts (2025) with a study score!
Erkki-Sven Tüür (b. 1959) dedicated his String quartet (1985) dedicated to the memory of his friend, the Estonian actor Urmas Kibuspuu (1953-1985). The impressive two-movement string quarte displays minimalist influences - and the "chamber-rock" spirit of Tüür's early ensemble In spe. The most pronounced ostinato tendencies are in the first violin, which repeats the same motif for several bars while the other instruments accompany it with their own recurring motifs.
This product includes the score (A4) and the string parts.
